Kamna Mantode joined RTPE in 2019 and has served on the NCEN board since 2021 as a Member at Large. Kamna is thrilled to be serving as the chair of the newly created committee on events and programs, which aims to provide enriching professional opportunities for NCEN members statewide. Kamna works in the field of international development with Compassion International as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist. In this role, she has worked on holistic child and youth development research projects in Ghana, Honduras, Thailand, and Tanzania. She also leads an initiative on fostering stakeholder voices into the development and evaluation of development programs.
Kamna earned her Master’s in Public Administration from University of Alabama at Birmingham and her PhD from University of Illinois, Chicago. She is a teacher at heart and also works as a faculty associate with Arizona State University School of Public Affairs as a faculty associate offering courses in Community resilience, Research methods, and Public Service Ethics. Kamna lives in the triangle area with her husband and two kids. When she finds time, she likes to take long walks, gardening, and fishing with her family.
