This workshop, led by Lori Palen of Data Soapbox, will prepare researchers to develop attractive and informative products to disseminate their findings. Specific topics covered in the work include:

• What is an infographic?
• Infographic development process
• Options for infographic content, including types of visuals and recommendations for text
• Software for infographic development
• Core principles of graphic design

The workshop includes multiple examples of successful infographics and visual elements. It concludes with a live demonstration of creating a basic infographic in PowerPoint in about 8 minutes.
